Well, now we can account for at least nine thousand dollars of Playland's operating loss.
Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore has indicted Kristen Vangsness (DOB 08/28/70) of 64 South Regent Street, Port Chester, the former ice skating school director at Rye Playland, on grand larceny.

The DA is charging that over a two year period from January 1, 2008 to January 1, 2010 the defendant, while employed as the Skating Director of the Playland Ice Casino, stole approximately $9,218 in United States Currency from the Playland Ice Casino. Vangsness faces a maximum of two and one half to seven years in state prison.
