RMS Teacher Launches International Service Organization

Join Craig Dreves, RMS history teacher, and the board of VolunTravel for information on their upcoming launch at the Rye Free Reading Room this Tuesday, December 7 at 7pm.

VolunTravel is a non-profit organization based in Rye which offers international volunteer service experiences in developing countries – a sort of mini-Peace Corps experience. This coming year, VolunTravel will be offering trips to Cusco, Peru (April 2011), Lesotho, Southern Africa (July 2011) and Costa Rica (February 2012).

VolunTravel is a fully insured and tax exempt organization so trips are tax deductible (check with your accountant for specifics). Community service hours are awarded and guidance with fundraising efforts is offered. Families, small groups and students traveling alone (with Dreves as chaperone) are welcome to attend.
