Rye City: Board of Appeals Notice

PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF RYE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Appeals of the City of Rye, New York, will conduct a public hearing at Rye City Hall, 1051 Boston Post Road, on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 7:30 P.M. on the following applications requesting relief from Chapter 197 of the Zoning Code of the City of Rye. The deliberative session of the Board is an open public meeting and held after 7:00 PM in Mayor’s Conference Room.

#10-59 POSTPONED APPLICATION, 99 GREENHAVEN RD., Greenhaven Rye Association (tax map 153.17-1-6) requesting 70.5 ft variance for a specified distance (Chapter 197, Article VIII, §197-86, Table A, Col 12) for a wooden play ship.

#10-62 POSTPONED APPLICATION 63 ISLAND DR., William Margiloff, Owner (tax map 147.05-1-24) requesting an 8 ft. side yard variance (Chapter 197, Article VIII, § 197-86, Table A, note c), a 21 ft. rear yard variance (Chapter 197, Article VIII, Section 197-86, Table A, Col. 11) and a variance to allow the F.A.R. to increase to .26 (a .01 (4%) increase over the allowable F.A.R or 234 (3.71%) sq. ft. increase over the allowable square footage for 2nd floor addition and alteration.

#10-03 Modified 88 OVERLOOK PL., James & Emily Cooper, Owners, (tax map 153.07-3-25) requesting 5.0 ft front yard variance for a 2nd story addition and attached garage under construction. (Chapter 197, Article VIII, §197-86, Table A, Col 8)

#11-01 23 HALSTEAD PL., Max Dreckman, Owner (tax map 153.7-1-80) requesting an appeal of the Board of Architectural Review’s denial of Application 10.126 (BAR) for the construction of a new single family residence with two car garage.

#11-02 65 PARKWAY DR., Estate of Mary L. Vier, Owner (tax map 146.14-1-76) requesting a 25-foot rear yard variance (Chapter 197, Article VIII, § 197-86, Table A, Col 11) to legalize an attached shed.

#11-03 10 GRAHAM COURT, Stephen & Kimberly Rossi, Owners (tax map 146.06-2-19.6) requesting a variance to allow the F.A.R. to increase to .2577 (a .0077 (3.08%) increase over the allowable F.A.R. or 131 (3.08%) square foot increase over the allowable square footage) (Chapter 197, Article VIII, § 197-86, Table A, Col 5) for a second floor addition.

#11-04 9 PHILLIPS LANE, John & Rae Ann Murphy, Owners (tax map153.11-2-24) requesting a 5.0 ft. variance (Chapter 197, Article VIII, § 197-86, Table A, Col 3) to legalize an existing pool.
#11-05 14 RYE RD., John Stieglitz, Owner. (tax map 152.12-1-40) requesting 6.8 ft rear yard variance (Chapter 197, Article VIII, §197-86, Table A, col. 1) to legalize rear deck.

Plans and other data pertaining to these applications are on file at the office of the City Clerk and open for public inspection. All persons, including corporations, interested in any of these matters will be given an opportunity to be heard.

Inspection of these properties will be made by Board members at various times between Saturday, January 15, 2010 and Thursday, January 20, 2010 to the meeting.
Due to the possibility of a meeting cancellation, applicants and interested parties should call the City Clerk’s office (914 967-7371) the day of the meeting (after 2:00 P.M.) to confirm meeting date and time.
