Garnet Hockey to Semis

Thanks to resident Sue O'Brien, who sent in this hockey update Thursday, 2/20/14:

RYE GARNET HOCKEY TEAM TO GO TO SEMIFINALS .  They were seeded 10th and not expected to win anything let alone make it to the semifinals.  The other teams in the semifinals are the 1, 3, and 4 seeds and Rye as the 10th — they beat the #2 seed, Pearl River, last night 9-2. 

They play John Jay tomorrow night at Brewster Ice Arena at 6PM and would love the Rye Fans as John Jay will pack the house.  FYI we lost to them last year in the section finals, but played them last week and won 5-4.
