Rye Playland will have two special holiday fireworks shows — on Thursday, July 3rd and Friday, July 4th. The fireworks will launch from the pier at 9:15pm.
Regular fireworks shows are also held 9:15pm on Wednesdays and Fridays in July and August.
Tips:
Avoid Playland Parkway, it will become backed up all the way to I-95 – use Boston Post Road to traverse Playland Parkway and roads like Apawamis and Oakland Beach to get down to the water.
Park at a friends house off Forrest and walk down to Playland. Parking at Playland is a complete mess.
Watch the fireworks from the boardwalk or Rye Town Park (bring chairs or a blanket) and avoid going into Rye Playland.
Look in the distance and watch about 20 fireworks shows across Long Island.
