Dear RCSD Parents and Guardians, Community, Faculty and Staff:

This morning, the High School received a bomb threat against the Middle and High School building. Principal Edwards and Principal Taylor immediately evacuated the Middle and High School students and notified the Rye Police Department.

Unfortunately, given the need to evacuate the students as quickly as possible, the students had to walk to their assigned indoor evacuation locations. We apologize for any discomfort they may have experienced. Upon the issuance of the “all-clear,” the students were bused back to campus.

This is the third such bomb threat made against the Middle School/High School campus since the beginning of the school year. The School District takes these threats very seriously. The threats are incredibly disruptive, alarming to students and faculty, expensive to taxpayers, wasteful of Rye and County Police resources, and constitute a criminal act.

The Rye Police Department is actively investigating these threats. If you or anyone in your household has any information about the source of these threats, please contact the Rye Police at 914-967-1234. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be sent to the Police by the following methods:
