Ex-Rye City Manager Shew Competed for Flint, MI Job

Former Rye City Manager Paul Shew, who was fired by the city council back in 2009, was on a finalist list to become the city manager of Flint, Michigan.

Many know Flint from the Michael Moore film “Roger & Me” where he showcased General Motors CEO Roger Smith and the crumbkling of Flint in the wake of GM plant shut downs.

Alas, Shew was passed over and Natasha Henderson, city manager of Muskegon Heights, was chosen for the 140K/year job.
