Rye Pol Latimer Distros Copies of Declaration and Constitution
Now you can have the Declaration of Independence. And the U.S. Constitution.
Or at least a paper copy.
Rye resident and New York State Senator George Latimer (D-Westchester) has made available free copies of a booklet that includes The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of the United States for any interested residents.
How did it come to pass that our local pol thought to distro these documents of democracy?
MyRye.com ask Latimer, who told us "First time we've done this – was a staffer's good idea to do so. Part of our Albany printing allocation."
And when we continued to ask if there was an electronic version of the aforementioned booklet of democratic docs… "No electronic version, sad to say," said Latimer.
If you are a MyRye.com ready, you can read the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution online.
Residents can call the Senator's office at 914-934-5250 to request a copy of the booklet, which will be mailed out. Copies are also available in person at the District Office, located in Port Chester Village Hall, 222 Grace Church St, Port Chester, Room 300.
Multiple copies are available for groups such as scout troops, veterans, school groups and others, on request.
