With the exception of Terry McCartney, who was absent for the vote, Rye City Council voted unanimously to deny all three proposals Crown Castle presented to Rye. Perhaps the biggest issue was all three proposals had some equipment being placed on private property. From the beginning, residents had a variety of concerns including the impact on property prices due to the installation of large and unsightly equipment.

Crown Castle is an agent for Verizon Wireless, and nothing prevents either company from presenting other alternatives in the future.
