GARNET & BLACK HOSTS RED & BLACK
This Section One Class A Quarterfinal Round battle showcases long-ago adversary, the NYACK INDIANS.
Teepee lore has it that the Indians were encircling the Garnets in first round playoff raids in ’09 and ’17 only to have Rye stampede their palominos and blunt their arrows. Over many moons the Garnets have scalped the Red and Black handily at 10-5-0 (.667).
Invest your MegaMillions and/or Powerball wampum into the Football Association’s 50/50 Raffle and place some of the newfound cash on the Garnets this week as Rye slows and silences the braves 27-14.
