Rye School Boss: Police Investigation Antisemitic Remark on Social Media

Well, this is not good. Rye schools boss Eric Byrne reported in an email to parent that an antisemitic remark was made in a social media thread involving Rye and Byram Hills high schools. Rye and North Castle police are investigation.

Here is the Byrne note:

Subject: Communication from Rye City and Byram Hills Central School District Superintendents

Dear RCSD parents and guardians,

The following communication is the result of collaboration with the Byram Hills Central School District Superintendent:

Yesterday, Rye High School administrators were informed by students and teachers of the existence of a social media thread between Rye High School and Byram Hills High School students. An anti-Semitic remark directed at Byram Hills students was found in the post.

Our District and the Byram Hills Central School District are assisting the Rye City and North Castle Police Departments in investigating this issue.

I regret to inform you that the incident occurred; both our Districts stand strongly against such behaviors.
