Wainwright House Pushing Corporate Events in New Year
Rye's Wainwright House will be hosting an open house to launch its corporate events program on January 23, 2019 from 8:30am – 10am.
This initiative builds on the Wainwright House’s rich history as a holistic learning center dedicated to the development of human potential. Its open, state-of-art rooms, coupled with the tranquility and pure beauty of its surroundings, create the ideal environment for business people to connect, collaborate, create and grow.
The morning will include a continental breakfast and it will give visitors the opportunity to explore the facility and to meet with the Wainwright House staff and preferred vendors. The Wainwright House is located at 260 Stuyvesant Avenue, Rye, NY. To register, go here.
The Wainwright House is the oldest non-profit, non-sectarian holistic learning center in the nation. This magnificent 16-room replica of a French Chateau with carriage house sits on five acres of land overlooking Milton Harbor on Long Island Sound in Rye, NY. It was founded in 1951 by Fonrose Wainwright Condict, a Rye resident, with the help of the Reverend Norman Vincent Peale.
Initially, it was home to the Laymen’s Movement, an association of businessmen founded in 1941 to encourage spiritual values in the workplace. Among its members were John D. Rockefeller, J.C. Penney and Dwight D. Eisenhower. Shortly afterwards, it hosted United National conferences on conflict resolution.
Over the years, the Wainwright House has been the site of hundreds of conferences, meetings and classes in a variety of disciplines. Speakers included Joseph Campbell, Deepak Chopra and Dr. Bernie Siegel.
