1st Annual Jim Yedowitz Friends and Family Run Meet at High School a Success
The 1st Annual Jim Yedowitz Friends and Family Meet this past Saturday, June 8th was a success.
The track was dedicated in honor of Coach Yedowitz who coached at Rye High School for 43 years and a plaque was unveiled to honor both Coach Yedowitz and his co-coach, John "Mitty" McGee. The two coached together for 38 years.
It was a fun day, filled with old friends coming together with the Yedowitz family, current athletes and coaching staff. All four Yedowitz kids, accomplished runners at Rye High, were back on the track with their own kids running relays vs. current athletes and alumni. The day was filled with alumni races, relays, and skills clinics to share the sport with the community.
