Daily Mass began again Wednesday morning at Rye’s Church of the Resurrection. Rye guy and county boss George Latimer was there. He has been a parishioner at Resurrection for over 35 years.
“I missed being physically in church – last time was Wed, March 11 for a daily mass,” Latimer told MyRye.com. “It was different – social distancing; no holy water at the entrances; no lector, no Eucharistic minister helping to give out communion. No missalettes in the pews to follow the readings. It was an important re-connection to my faith. I trust all the houses of worship can be back in session shortly.”
