Wake-up Call. June 10. Apawamis Avenue & Milton Road. Construction prior to 7:30am. PD spoke with homeowner and informed him of city code – verbal warning.
Fiery Dispute. June 10. Lake Road. RESIDENT AT ABOVE ADDRESS STATES THE HOUSE BEHIND HIS FACES BREVOORT LANE IS USING A TORCH LIKE MACHINE THAT COULD CAUSE FIRE & DAMAGE TO HIS PROPERTY. Complainant advised neighbor is using torch to burn weeds. PD spoke to neighbor on brevoort ln, he advised he was doing some landscaping.
Forty “Yutes”. June 10. Oakland Beach Avenue. RYE REC EMPLOYEE STATES A LARGE GROUP OF YOUTHS ON THE CLOSED STERLING FIELD. BEING DISRUPTVE. Redirected to DPW soccer field from rye rec, spoke to complainant, then removed about 40 youths from field. due to field being closed by rec department.
Oh Buoy. June 10. Port Chester Harbor. Prepared and deployed new speed restriction buoy in Port Chester Harbor entrance.
Next Time Say Please. June 10. Old Post Road. Caller wants to report that his son is using his vehicle without permission. STATEMENT TAKEN.
Dog vs. Cat. June 10. Hillside Road. Caller reported that her neighbor’s dog came into her yard and attacked her cat. She stated that the dog bit her husband when he tried to stop the dog from attacking her cat. According to the complainant, they were not bit by the dog in question. Nor was their cat. Spoke to all parties involved.
Uh, It’s Biodegradable. June 11. Cedar Place & Sylvan Place. Caller reports that landscapers are blowing grass from his neighbor’s yard onto his. He states that they are using leaf blowers.
Who Exactly is Freak’in? June 11. Loder Street. Caller reported that her 23 year old son is “freaking out”. She hung up before giving any other details.
Unbearable. June 12. Boston Post Road & Hillside Road. Officer reports a black bear at the above location. Negative on foot canvass of rear yard of Hillside Rd and surrounding
neighborhood.
Still Unbearable. June 12. Grandville Avenue & High Street. BIG BLACK BEAR IN AREA. BEAR WENT INTO ST. MARY’S CEMETERY.
COVID-150. June 12. Rye Town Park. Security from RTP reports 100-150 out of control kids drinking and not social distancing. disorderly group dispersed from beach. minor issues but nothing serious.
Buried at Sea. June 12. Port Chester Harbor. Responded to report of a dead animal in water near Port Chester Yacht Club. Upon arrival, found a noticibly deceased racoon at the shoreline of 255 Byram Shore Road, Greenwich CT. Animal towed to deep water in mid Long Island Sound. Carcass sunk.
Hooked. June 12. Bird Lane. Caller states that her 15 year old son has a fishing line stuck in his leg, ems requested but non-emergency. AS PER EMS, NO MEDICAL. PARENTS ADVISED THEY WOULD TAKE CHILD TO THE HOSPITAL.
I’m Telling the Principal. June 13. Midland Avenue. RESDIENT REPORTS WORK BEING DONE BEFORE 1000AM AT MIDLAND SCHOOL UNIT 3. condition corrected 98.
On the Rocks. June 13. Water’s Edge Rocks. RESIDENT REPORTS PARTIES DRINKING ALCOHOL ON THE ROCKS OF WATER’S EDGE. MARINE UNIT DISP. PARTIES ASKED TO LEAVE CONDITION CORRECTED.
Bear vs. Police TASER. June 13. Grandview Avenue. caller states that a bear chased her and her dog. animal found in driveway of grandview, taser shotgun deployed. animal struck
and ran. last scene westbound on hillside towards purchase. further chase could not be continued due to darkness. human and dog not injured.
Rocky Ride. June 14. Port Chester Harbor. Sailboat on Manursing Reef
Got Gas? June 14. Drake Smith Lane. FIRE DEPT. needs to gain entry to check for gas leak. car 11 assigned. FD made entry through rear window. Burglar alarm set off. FD re secured upon exit.
Nailed. June 15. Vehicle Maintenance DPW. nail was in the right rear tire. has been removed and tire refilled.
Flat Bike. June 16. Theodore Fremd Avenue. COMPLAINANT STATES SOMEONE BACKED OVER HER DAUGHTERS BIKE.
COVID Horror Movie. June 16. Sound Road. CALLER REPORTS LARGE PARTY IN VIOLATION OF COVID-19 RULINGS AS WELL AS LOUD MOVIE BEING PLAYED. CAR 16 SENT. spoke with homeowner who was advised to turn the movie volume down. homeowner was also advised of social distancing.
Riff-raff. June 17. Manursing Island Club. The manager of Mansuring Island Club called in regards to a party that is not welcomed on site. Manager will meet Cars 11 and 16 outside to point out location of unwanted party.
