Bike vs. Car. May 21st. Orchard & Theodore Fremd. Call of a pedestrian bicyclist hitting a motor vehicle. no EMS requested.
Red, Right, Return the Green Can. May 21st Navigational Buoy Green can #5 ashore on the rocks in the rear of 310 Stuyvesant Avenue, secured from land. Coast guard notified.
Tricksters. May 21st. Lea Place & Midland. Report of group of kids on bicycles stopping traffic to perform tricks in roadway. Advised not block traffic and to be conscious of
their surroundings when riding their bikes on the roadway.
Does not read MyRye.com. May 22nd. Haviland Lane. Grey Honda Accord observed with car keys dangling from driver’s side door lock. Set of keys recovered for safekeeping at Police HQ.
Clean Sweep. May 22nd. Apawamis Avenue. Caller reports front door/upstairs motion/general burgler alarm at the residence. cars 16 and 10 sent. alarm set off in error by house keeper.
Trashy Move. May 22nd. Caller stated someone is dumping into the Edith Read Sanctuary. car 16 sent.
Not Amusing. May 22nd. Playland Parking Lot. Westchester County Police requested Rye PD to check playland parking lot for a white suv and orange dodge charger with kids riding on top of cars.
Phony. May 23rd. Boston Post Road. Citibank reporting male trying to use a fake ID.
Ranger Rick Down. May 24th. Oakland Beach Avenue & Forest. WOUNDED RACCOON DISPATCHED, AREA SANITIZED. ANIMAL TAKEN TO DPW AND DISPOSED OF.
Propped-Up. May 24th. Milton Harbor. Responding to request for assistance. Operator states “both his propellers fell off”. Towed vessel from Milton Harbor to its slip in Rye City Marina without incident.
Swipe Left. May 24th Walker Avenue. 911 CALLER STATES THAT HER EX-BOYFRIEND IS NOT WANTED AT HER HOME AND WOULD LIKE OFFICERS TO RESPOND.
Throw It Back. May 26th. Forest Avenue / Water’s Edge. Fishermen at the rear of Water’s Edge. Trespassers escorted off property by Car 18.
Bambi. May 27th. Pondview Road. Caller stated that there is a baby deer at the end of the road. He thinks it may have been abandon by its mother. Deer appears healthy and safe. Recommended that deer not be moved and allowed for mother deer to reunite.
