Bad Sign. July 1. Maple Avenue. Caller wishes to document an incident. INFORMATION WAS COLLECTED FROM HOMEOWNER. STATES SOMEONE TOOK SIGN OVERNIGHT. DOES NOT WANT ANYTHING FURTHER.

Twisted Situation. July 1. Kirby Lane. large vines have fallen and are blocking the road. DPW notified.

Please Wrangle ‘Em. July 1. Coveleigh Club. caller is manager of the club and he states a Grey Jeep Wrangler entered the property and youths exited said vehicle and are now somewhere on the property. he requests response to remove them. cars 10 and 16 sent. Spoke to club Manager. He reports that the suspicious vehicle has left with all of the trespassers prior to our arrival.

Tree Older Than Resident. July 1. Elmwood Avenue. Possible Tree on a house. No injuries and no damage to the house. Private Tree. Scene turned over to FD. Incident Reactivated. Tree struck by lightning. Tree shattered no significant damage witnessed to ** Elmwood. 104 year old Resident and nurse were startled but no injuries caused by strike. TOT (turned over to) Rye FD.

Game Over. July 1. Osborn School. caller reports a large basketball game taking place on school grounds which are closed. car 11 sent. all players not social distancing. due to closure of gymnasium, Pick up basketball game played at Osborn School. Game over. Players complied.

Complete and Total (and Dangerous) Misfire. July 1. Hix Avenue / Oakland Beach Avenue. caller reports a male white possibly carrying a large weapon westbound on Oakland Beach Ave. she also believes he might be wearing a Bullet resistant vest. he is alleged to be wearing all black. party was walking with a weighted fitness vest and was carrying an umbrella due to periodic rain showers occurring throughout the night. no suspicious party.

Not Amusing. July 2. Playland Cove, off Edith Read Sanctuary. Vessel in distress reported by Port Chester PD 4 males in water off of Edith Read, assisted to shore by two kayakers, using their boat as a float. EMS evaluated no transport. T.O.T. Westchester County PD parks ASSISTED MARINE UNIT.

Bailing Out Boaters. July 2. Stamford, CT Harbor. BC Deshensky reporting a vessel off of the Stamford Harbor taking on water with 4 people aboard. Arrived on scene with Stamford and Darien police boats who pumped out the vessel and escorted it back to the boat ramp in Darien occurred at 40.59.270 N 073.31.929 W. handled by other agencies.

Hot-Dog? July 2. Downtown Rye, Park Park 1. DOG STUCK IN A HOT CAR BLACK BMW BEHIND RUBY’S SPACE # 172, vehicle was parked in shade, sun roof wide open..spoke with owner and checked interior of car which was very cool and dog was also OK, not in distress

Super-spreaders? July 2. Elm Place / Purchase Street. A BUNCH OF YOUTHS NOT WEARING MASKS IN TOWN & RIDING THEIR BIKES VERY FAST ON THE SIDEWALK & AROUND CAUSING AN ISSUE. PO SALGUERO & PO PARKER DISP. all in order 98.

Party Over. July 2. Halsted Place. COMP STATED IN AREA OF HALSTEAD PL, OVERLOOK AREA, LOUD PARTY. PO JONES & PO PARKER DISP. Location Changed From HALSTED PL / DEARBORN AV To ** Halstead PL. condition corrected.

OK, Now the Party is Really Over. July 2 (one hour later). Halsted Place. LOUD PARTY THAT HAS BEEN ONGOING. PO CALCAGNI & PO JONES DISP. PARTY CLEARED.

Throw ‘Em Back. July 3. Rye Town Dock / Stuyvesant Avenue. Caller reports fishermen are keeping small fish. Parties and fish check. State that complainant named “Dave” was drinking and being verbally abusive. Left prior to arrival.

Room 239, Checked-Out. July 3. Courtyard Marriott / Midland Avenue. Employee of the Marriott stated that there is an individual who they wish to be removed from the property Room 239. Assisted Marriott in escorting 3 females and 1 male from property. Subjects left in taxi, one female on foot.

All Washed Up. July 3. Hen Island. Caller states a vessel broke lose and beached ashore Hen Island. OV Call: NY REG****** broke free from mooring. Secured on Hen Island. R/O (registered owner) contacted and will retrieve and remove vessel.

Rye FD Waters Tree. July 3. Greenwood Union Cemetery / North Street. PO Rosace reported a tree on fire in the cemetery. Extinguished by Rye FD. TOT RFD

Not at Playland. July 4. Port Chester Harbor. OV Call: Westchester/Manursing fireworks display.

Super-spreaders? July 4. Grace Church Street. Report of large group of 30 people not practicing social distance.

Explode & Go. July 4. Soundview Avenue. report of kids setting off fireworks on the Rye Golf Course area canvassed multiple times. parties are goa (gone on arrival)

Almost Knee-Scotch Cap’ed. July 5. Milton Harbor. Observed vessel bearing Rhode Island registration ****X transiting over Scotch Caps. Vessel stopped for their safety. Operator was new to boating. He was informed of the local underwater and navigational dangers. Vessel then continued trip without incident.

If it’s got to be clean, it (should not be in the) Tide. July 6. Buoy 36 / Long Island Sound. caller reports a foul smelling bag floating in Port Chester harbor. PB-2 dispatched. Backpack with clothing. Appears to have been submerged for a significant amount of time, filled with silt. No further police action required.

Nuts. Must be Nuts. July 7. Richard Place. party has squirrel in her playroom and is afraid it will escape. cars 16 and 14 sent. squirrel gone.

Dreamy. July 7. Purchase Street / Highland Road. dpw advises 2 males sitting on bench possibly unconscious. car 16 sent. two parties were sleeping while waiting for MTA bus.
