The police blotter is a highlight of recent activity from the City of Rye Police Department.

Over. August 21. Centre Street. Loud party directly behind __ Brown Ave. Location Changed From ORCHARD LN / BROWN AV To __ Centre ST. Music lowered and party ended for night.

Shhh! August 21. Marine Unit Building, Milton Road. Noise Complaint. Loud Music. music stopped.

Fishy. August 21.  Waters Edge. Caller reports fisherman on the sea wall of the Waters Edge property. Car 16 & 10 sent, No fishermen observed in the area.

Corona, Not Virus. August 22. Milton Road. Milton Road. Ambulance Request. 16 Year old Intoxicated male. Young male transported to Greenwich Hospital.

I See The Light! August 22. Douglas Circle. Tent with extra lights on shining into the Complainant’s house. No violations observed. Tent lights are shining within homeowners property.

Road Clear, TV & Internet Not. August 22. Griffon Place / Oakland Beach Avenue. Wire across the roadway. Optimum cable wire was in roadway. While attempting to move it out of road it detached from pole #13 at the listed location. The roadway is clear.

Flagged! August 22. Forest Avenue / Martin Butler Court. FOUNDER OF “PRYDE COMMUNITY GROUP” LOCATED A BUNCH OF HER FLAGS IN A PILE AT INTERSECTION.

Flagged! August 22. Green Avenue. report of missing “pRYDe” flag. SPOKE WITH COMPLAINANT AND ADVISED HIM OF PREVIOUS REPORT TAKEN IN REGARDS TO SIMILAR PROPERTY. STATEMENT FORM AND OWNER’S DEPOSITION PROVIDED, COMPLAINANT STATED HE WILL RETURN SAME LATER IN THE EVENING.

Ballooning Problem. August 22. Ellsworth Street. Party hears noises coming from upstairs. Requesting officer perform an interior check of her residence. balloon in a ceiling fan.

Tails Wagging. August 23. Glendale Road / Gypsy Place. Animal Complaints-Other. older dog walking in roadway may be in distress. dog reunited with owner.

That Blows! August 23. Ellsworth Street / Milton Road. leaf blowers being used. SITUATION CORRECTED.

Might Take a Week… August 23. Roosevelt Avenue. Utility-Wire Down. report of wires down. 8 AND 10 ROOSEVELT. TREE BRANCH DOWN ON PRIMARY AND CABLE/INTERNET WIRES. CONED NOTIFIED. STANDING BY. tot con ed.

Member, No Member? August 23.  Brevoort Lane / Shore Road. Trespass of Real Property. report of parties on private beach that are not members. party on beach is a member with proper  documentation.

Inside the Tent or? August 23. Douglas Circle. Neighborhood Trouble. Large Tent with multiple cars out front of residence. Caller is concerned they are not adhering to Covid-19 restrictions. No violations observed. Reminded resident to adhere to social distancing practices and to wear masks when needed.

Going Swimming? August 24. Boston Post Road. Coyote Sighting. Party wants to report 3 coyotes running towards the brook.

Bambi Unstuck. August 24. Van Wagenen Avenue. Animal Complaints-Other. deer possible stuck by a fence. Caller called back to report that the deer is now free.

Whacking Only. August 25. Grace Church Street. Leaf blower(s). no leaf blowers being used, weedwhacker only.

You Say Tomato, I Say Tomato. August 26. Forest Avenue. Noise Complaint. report of excessive noise from construction site. Average noise from construction site.
