Health Dept. Says Rye High Can Open Thursday
After a Wednesday closure of Rye High School buildings, the NYS Health Department has given a green light for the buildings to be open Thursday. The school system provided notice via email late Wednesday night.
The notice is shown below.
“Dear RHS Families, Students, Faculty and Staff,
The New York State Department of Health has almost completed contact tracing related to the COVID-19 positive case at Rye High School. All individuals required to quarantine have been informed that they must do so. We have received permission from the DOH for students, faculty, and staff to physically return to the building tomorrow. Athletics practices will take place on Thursday afternoon. Just a reminder to please complete the daily health assessment by 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
Eric Byrne, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools”
