After losing to Pelham last year, Rye Field Hockey beat Pelham 2-1 at Nugent Stadium.
Freshman Lilly Whaling and co-captain Anne Daily scored Rye’s two goals. Goalie Catia Lai had a strong game and some critical saves to protect the Garnet’s lead. From the start, it was a rough and intense game.
The Garnets advance their season to 7-1.
