Boys Varsity Hockey Washes Down the Rivertown Legends 14-1
Rye Boys Varsity Hockey washed down the Rivertown Legends 14-1 at home on Friday.
“This was a strong bounce back game for us after the Scarsdale loss,” said Boys Varsity Hockey Coach Peter Thomas. “We did the things we needed to do against an undermanned Rivertown team.”
Rye’s scoring was led by Drew DellaSalla who led the way with 3 goals and 3 assists, followed by Brendan O’Byrne-3 goals, Brian Curran-2 goals and 1 assist, Liam Hurley-1 goal and 3 assists, Peter Angelastro-1 goal and 1 assist, Tommy Richardson-1 goal and 2 assists, Reece Dorfman-1 goal, Tyler Brooks-1 goal, Eric Lynch-1 goal (1st Varsity Goal), Paul Angelastro-3 assists, Cal McLoughlin-2 assists, Trace Sculti, Kevin Curran, and Aidan Cunningham each added 1 assist. In goal, Anabelle Thomas made 10 saves before being replaced by Patrick Myers in the 3rd period.
The team’s season improves to 4-5. The Garnets face off against the Rivertown Legends at an away game Sunday evening.
