Girls Varsity Volleyball Ends Season in Semi Final Loss to Scarsdale

Rye Girls Varsity Volleyball ended the season Thursday in a sectional semi final loss to Scarsdale. Scarsdale took the away game in three sets.

“Mara Ball led the team with 8 kills, 11 digs, and 2 blocks. Julie Halasz had 9 digs, followed by Natasha Meyer with 8 and Alex Rosales with 6,” said Rye Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach Geri Jones. “Maddie Slattery ran the offense with 11 assists. We were lucky to be able to get to play this season. I considered every day we got to play as a gift. The 5 seniors led this team this season and will be missed. It has been a privilege to have coached them.”

The team ends with a 5-15 season.
