In Memory: Lorraine C. Marino, Age 76
Lorraine C. Marino, aged 76, died peacefully in her home in Beverly Hills, FL, on Tuesday, April 6, surrounded by family over her last days. Her joyful presence was taken from us too soon by cancer of the pancreas and liver. All who knew her were lifted by her warmth, generosity, and humor. Lorraine personified the traits of love as written by Paul in his First Letter to the Corinthians 13:4-7.
Lorraine is predeceased by her husband Nicholas R. Marino, Sr, sister Janice Peloso Reynolds, and brother Martin Francis Peloso. Lorraine is survived by brother John Peloso; sisters Marge Ryan, Barbara Malanio, and Ruth Ruffino; son Nicholas, Jr (Julia Lloyd); daughter Deanna (Gordon Keeler); loving grandchildren Mark and Faith Klass; and many devoted nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.
Lorraine was born in The Bronx, where she graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1962, and lived in Rye, NY from 1973 – 2019, where she worked as a homemaker and then as an administrative assistant for Servicemaster-Aramark for the Rye City Schools for more than two decades. She retired to Florida with her daughter and family.
Lorraine will be remembered in a Mass of Christian Burial at Church of the Resurrection and interred in Rye with her husband in Greenwood Union Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donation to an organization in support of Native Peoples, animal rescue, or environmental conservation, causes dear to Lorraine throughout her life.
