Rye Boys Varsity Baseball blanked Brewster 10-0 with a Surhoff no-hitter at home on Saturday in the first round of the post season.
“Ryan Surhoff pitched a no-hitter in a game shortened to five innings by mercy rule,” said Rye Boys Varsity Baseball Coach Michael Bruno. “He also hit a grand slam for Rye. Aidan Sullivan was 2 for 3 with three RBI.”
Rye advances to the second round to play the #5 seed Clarkstown North Rams. The season record for the Garnets is now 14-5.
