In Memory: Terrance Kevin Ganser, Age 61

Obituary - Terrance Kevin GanserTerrance (Terry) Kevin Ganser (November 3, 1959 ~ June 29, 2021) died at Yale New Haven Hospital of acute liver failure on June 29th, 2021. His entire family and many friends had been in close contact with him shortly before he passed on.

Terry spent his childhood years in Annandale, Va., Rye, New York, and Bridgton, Maine. After graduating from Lake Region High School in Maine he became a much sought after fashion model in New York City for several years. He decided to change career paths early on and entered a two-year course of study at Westchester Community College where he was elected President of his class and subsequently went on to study at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Once graduated from Wharton he was employed at Bankers Trust New York. While working with BT he attended the Columbia University School of Business where he earned an Executive Master’ degree in Business Administration.

Over the next several decades Terry worked for a number of financial firms including Merrill Lynch, Wachovia and BNP Paribas. In the latter years of his career he co-founded and guided several start-up companies utilizing the many contacts he had made earlier in his professional life. Due to his international travels Terry acquired fluency in both Spanish and French.

Terry is survived by his ex-wife, Cara and their four children, TJ, Elyssa, Jenna and Ava, his father James E. Ganser and his wife, Vicky Eastwood, three brothers, L.J., Greg, and Chris. Terry lived an adventurous life and shared that love of living with, not only his family, but many friends while camping and skiing in the White Mountains, scuba diving in the Caribbean, or just hanging around the fire pit in the backyard swapping stories and tall tales. He was an incredibly talented cook and his skills with an iron skillet in the kitchen were legendary.
