Boys Varsity Football Leaves TZ Dutchmen in the Oven
Rye Boys Varsity Football left the Tappan Zee Dutchmen in the oven Friday night, cooking up its third victory in as many games. The final score was Rye 41, Tappan Zee 12.
“Overall we got a lot of players that had an opportunity to play,” said Rye Boys Varsity Football Coach Dino Garr. “Caden had a terrific game as he always does. Own had a super game in terms of throwing the ball and running the ball.”
“Defensively I thought we did pretty well,” continued Garr. “Carter Barford played very well and so did Jack Garnett. McRedmond did a good job on offense and defense.”
The cheer squad might of felt like they were on the swim team Friday. “The Rye cheerleaders cheered their way through an absolute downpour and another Garnets win,” said Varsity Cheerleading Coach Melissa Marsden. “They didn’t once let the rain dampen their spirits. We are looking forward to next Friday nights home game!”
