Varsity Boys Soccer Snake Eyes Horace Greeley
Rye Varsity Boys Soccer snake eyed Horace Greeley Friday in a 1-1 tie at home. The team’s season shifts to 2-1-1.
“Ian Koford headed home a Jack Childs corner kick in the 10th minute to put Rye ahead 1-0,” said Rye Varsity Boys Soccer Jared Small. “Greeley tied the game 15 minutes later and the game eventually wound up 1-1 in overtime.”
Jack Childs rattled the post on two consecutive shots in overtime but both ricocheted out. Devan Patel, Max van der Voort, and Tommy Dore all contributed energy to the attack.
