Where I Work: Rye St. Regis’ Julie Oliff
Where I Work showcases people who work in Rye. The feature is inspired in part by exploring how the pandemic has impacted our work environment and part by wanting to understand how and where people work inside the City of Rye.
Today we meet Rye St. Regis General Manager.
Do you know someone we should interview for Where I Work? Tell us!
Your name: Julie Oliff
Your company: The St. Regis Residences, Rye – at 120 Old Post Rd, Rye. We are a newly opened Residences within the Marriott Luxury portfolio, with 92 homes and plentiful amenities.
MyRye.com: What do you do?
Oliff: General Manager, I generally manage the property.
Where do you work?
Oliff: I have the privilege to have worked for Marriott for nearly 13 years, and for St. Regis for 10. I have had the pleasure of living in Rye for a little over a year now, and have opened this property with the world’s best and most talented team of individuals. Truly. They can sing, dance, saber, AND park cars.
Describe your desk and office.
Oliff: I do have an office, although thankfully I rarely see it. I typically reach over fifteen thousand steps a day in a usual day, what with our property being 7 acres and having 5 buildings. There is truly nothing we will not do for our owners – as long as it is ethical, moral and legal, of course!
In my actual office, I do have a stand-up desk, a conch from St Thomas where I worked, many photos of
@Kittythebernese whom I miss from my last St. Regis posting, and of course, our custom blended Harney and Sons tea!
