Girls Varsity Soccer Puts Harrison in the Blind Brook
Rye Girls Varsity Soccer put Harrison in the Blind Brook on Monday, taking the win at home 2-0.
“The Huskies came out fast and strong on Rye’s defense,” said Rye Girls Varsity Soccer Rich Savage. “Despina Sfiris and Mary Sack were strong on the outside backs for the Garnets. Reilly Traynor scored a beautiful goal off a perfectly placed pass from Maddy Walsh. Ten minutes later Maddy found the back of the net herded off a cross from Hannah Bertisch.
Bell Jackson was solid in the back of the net, making key saves to keep the shut out for the Garnets. She made certain of all her saves on the rainy night.”
