Rye FD Candy Cane Run is Sunday
The Rye FD is running its annual candy cane run this Sunday, December 12th between 3:30pm and 5:30pm. Rye Professional Firefighters Local 2029 reinstituted this old tradition back in 2016 where the FD drives Santa around on a parade of fire trucks spreading holiday cheer and handing out candy canes.
Here is when and where the FD and Santa will be on Sunday:
- 3:30pm – 3:40pm Milton School
- 3:45pm – 3:55pm Rye Recreation
- 4:00pm – 4:10pm Highland Hall
- 4:20pm – 4:30pm Osborn School
- 4:35pm – 4:45pm John Jay Place
- 4:55pm – 5:30pm Rye Town Park
We placed a call to Rudolph and the other reindeer to ask if they were supportive of Santa taking an alternative method of transportation, but calls were not returned by press time.
