Rye PBA Awards & Honors @ Annual Dinner
Thursday evening the Rye Police Benevolent League presented awards and honors to its membership. Retirees PO Angelina “Angie” T. Cyr and Sgt. Kenny were presented with shadow boxes. Active members were also awarded certificates and honor bars for their actions this past year and 2020.
Presenting the awards was PBA President, Detective Gabe Caputo.
- Honorable Mention – Sgt. Balls, PO Foti, PO Anderson, and PO Molle for the arrest of two suspects in possession of a stolen vehicle wanted for a gun point car jacking and armed robbery on April 21st, 2021.
- Honorable Mention – Sgt. Rossi and PO Salguero for the apprehension of two suspects who just committed a strong armed robbery in Port Chester and were suspects in multiple robberies in other jurisdictions on August 18th, 2020.
- Honorable Mention – PO Whalen for the arrest of a suspect who was later identified as a suspect in numerous burglaries throughout Westchester county on June 6th, 2020.
- Commendable Merit Award – PO Salguero and PO Jones for the arrest of a juvenile in possession of a stolen vehicle and the recovery of a loaded .9mm handgun on October 1st, 2020.
- Commendable Merit Award – Lt. Anfuso, Det. Klein, and Det. Anderson for the investigation and arrest of three suspects wanted in numerous burglaries throughout Westchester county on September 23rd, 2020.
- Life Saving Award – PO Calcagni for saving the life of a 14 month old baby who was actively choking on September 15th, 2021.
- Life Saving Award – PO Foti and PO Delgado for saving the life of an unresponsive male suffering from a near fatal overdose on December 23rd, 2020.
- Life Saving Award – Det. Klein, PO Foti, and PO Molle for saving the life of an unresponsive male suffering from a near fatal overdose on December 22nd, 2020.
- Life Saving Award – Sgt. Pallone and PO Anjo for saving the life of an unresponsive male suffering from a near fatal overdose on June 25th, 2021.
- Life Saving Award – Det. Caputo, PO Rivera, and PO Molle for saving the life of an unresponsive suicidal female suffering from a near fatal overdose on September 30th, 2021.
