The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 is out. The meeting is on Zoom (not in person).

The Council will convene at 6:00pm for executive session (not open to the public) to discuss pending litigation, personnel matters and pending contracts. The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).

Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended.

  • Ida Like an Update. Post Ida Storm Update
  • Show Me the Money. Continue the public hearing on the 2022 Budget.
  • Cap Off. Consideration to open the public hearing to adopt a Local Law to override the State enacted tax levy limitation, if necessary.
  • Taxing. Resolution to adopt the 2022 Budget and establish the 2022 tax levy and 2022 tax rate. Roll Call

    Moving Money. Resolution authorizing the City Comptroller to make the necessary year-end closing transfers. Roll Call.

    Book It! Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Rye Free Reading Room to furnish library services for 2022. Roll Call.

    Winds of Change. Continue the public hearing to create a new local law, Chapter 122, “Landscapers and Leaf Blower Regulations” requiring all landscapers to obtain an annual permit in order to operate as a landscaper and restrict the use of leaf blowers.
