Rye Boys Scouts Annual Food Drive is Monday 10am – 3pm on Purchase Street
Rye Troop 2 Scouts will be holding a food drive tomorrow as part of Martin Luther King Day’s National Day of Service. The food donations will benefit the Bread of Life food pantry on Orchard Avenue.
You can bring non-perishables to the pantry drive between 10am and 3pm on Monday. The Scouts’ collection point is 38 Purchase Street, in front of the old TD Bank building. The Scouts are running a contactless collection and will collect the items from your car.
Last year the Scouts collected four pick-up truck loads of food. This year, Peak Home Improvements of Rye, run by Clyde Pitts 3rd, has donated the use of a trailer to haul the collected items. Four to five Scouts will be staffing the collection station at any given time, waiting for you to arrive with donations.
