Varsity Boys Hockey Ices Fordham Prep, Heads to Sectionals as #2 Seed
Rye Boys Varsity Hockey iced Fordham Prep on Wednesday, 3-0.
The team finished its regular season with a record of 16-3-1 and earned the #2 seed for the Section Playoffs and will host Byram Hills on Monday, February 21st at 4:00PM
“This was a complete game from start to finish,” said Rye Boys Varsity Hockey Coach Peter Thomas. “We played well in all three zones and capitalized on our chances. Nathan Tietjen scored his first varsity goal and the game winner in the 1st period. We never looked back from there, dictating the pace of play. Lukas Elovaara and Kevin Curran both had strong games on defense and Anabelle Thomas made 18 saves for her 4th shutout of the season.”
