Rye Women’s Interfaith Annual Conference is this Sunday, 2pm

Rye Women's Interfaith Committee Annual Conference 2022

The Rye Women’s Interfaith Annual Conference will hold an Abrahamic Faiths Panel discussion this Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 2:00pm-4:00pm via zoom.

Three religions – Judaism, Christianity and Islam are considered “Abrahamic” because they all consider themselves to be derived from the figure of Abraham, described in both the Bible and the Qur’an as the founder of monotheism. The three faiths share much in common, including belief in one God, similar ethical teachings and origin in the Middle East.

Nonetheless, their histories have been marked at least as much by conflict as by peaceful coexistence. In the panel, adherents of these three faiths discuss their similarities and differences and show how these religions are now working toward a common vision of peace and cooperation.

There will be a Q and A opportunity after the panel presentation.

Panelists:
Christian American: Katy Dickinson
Jewish American: Rabbi Amy Eilberg
Muslim American: Ameena Jandali
Facilitator: Nisa Sheikh

This event will be presented on Zoom. Registration is required. You can also contact Gail Langeloh in regards to attendance at [email protected].
