Girls Varsity Softball Leaves Sleepy Headless
Rye Girls Varsity Softball left Sleepy Hollow headless Wednesday with a commanding 16-0 win at home.
“It was a great team effort,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball Coach Alex Tejera. “Everyone played well and we were able to get some timely hits to help us win the game. Erin Ball and Zoe Lien combined for the one hit shoutout.”
Other game highlights included:
- Millie Brooks was 1 for 1 3 BB a SB and 2 RS
- Malena Santia was 3 for 3 with 3 Rbi and 3 RS
- Cate Margiloff was 1 for 3 with a 2B and 2 Rbi
- Ashley Kessner was 1 for 1 with 3 BB 4 RS
- Dylan Deertz was 2 for 4 3 Rbi RS
- Gloria Mustafa was 1 for 1 2 Rbi
- Erin Ball was 1 for 1 with 2 BB and a RS
The team’s season evens to 5-5. Varsity plays Harrison at 10am Saturday.
