Little League Parade is 11am Saturday
One of Rye’s finest traditions, the opening day parade for Rye Little League, is scheduled to begin at 11am on this Saturday, April 23rd.
The parade will start at the Rye Metro North Train Station and end at Grainger Field in Disbrow Park. The parade will begin promptly at 11am headed down Purchase Street. About seven hundred boys baseball and girls softball players will be marching, plus coaches and other participants.
There will be a short opening ceremony at Grainger Field in Disbrow Park, the teams will have a quick lunch provided by Jerry’s Post Road Market, and the festivities should end by 12:30pm as games start later on Saturday.
The rain date is Sunday, April 24th at 11am.
Rye Little League board members are Ben Bubeck, Ryan Coyne, Billy Draddy, John Louis, Danny McCarthy, Jay Mercurio, Joe Nigro, Heather Stein and Jason Yacavone.
