School Board Candidates Will Run Unopposed
The two candidates running for the two available school board seats in the Rye City School District will be running unopposed.
Jennifer Boyle and Jane Anderson, both currently Board of Education members, will run for reelection. Jennifer Boyle is the current Board of Education president and Jane Anderson is the current vice president. Read their bios from 2019.
No additional candidates came forward, and the two candidates have submitted the required 100 signatures which have been vetted by the District Clerk Lauren McGowan, and will be placed on the ballot. The school board candidate and school budget vote is on Tuesday, May 17th. The District is expected to release its overview on the budget in the next few days.
