Juneteenth Ceremony & Service @ African American Cemetery
There will be a ceremony and a service project at the African American Cemetery on Juneteenth Freedom Day this Saturday, June 18th at 10am – 12pm. Registration is required.
It is highly recommended that participants wear outdoor work gloves and bring any of the following items with them to help with clean-up work: rakes, shovels, outdoor broom and outdoor working gloves. It is important that you dress appropriately. Be sure to wear long pants and closed toe shoes.
This is a rain or shine event. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
The African American Cemetery is at 215 North Street, in the Greenwood Union Cemetery.
