Nicholas Clair, Secondary Instructional Staff Developer, RHS and RMS
Mr. Clair comes to the RCSD from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, N.Y., where he was a high school mathematics teacher. Prior to working in Chappaqua, he spent seven years as a mathematics teacher at the F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, N.Y. It was there that he completed his Administrative Internship from 2018-19. Mr. Clair has a B.A. in Mathematics from Hartwick College andan M.A. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University. He holds Certificates in Advanced Studies (CAS) as a New York State School Building Leader (SBL) and as a School District Leader (SDL) from Stony Brook University.
Carolyn Clark, Senior Office Assistant, Special Education Department, Rye City School District
Ms. Clark comes to work in the Special Education Department at the Central Administration Building from Bronxville Elementary School, where she worked as a classroom teacher aide since 2014 and as the administrative assistant to the Director of the Bronxville After School Program since 2016. Prior to working in Bronxville, she spent 12 years as a Preschool Head Teacher at Scarsdale Community Baptist Nursery School. She began her career as a Marketing Manager for ARTnews magazine in Manhattan. Ms. Clark has a B.A. in English from Iona College.
Caroleann Del Juidice, Instructional Technology Staff Developer, Rye City School District
Ms. Del Juidice comes to the RCSD from the Bronxville Union Free School District, where she was an Instructional Technology Specialist and Computer Science Teacher for grades 6-8 for two years, and an IT Specialist and Computer Science Teacher for grades K-5 for three years prior. Before working in Bronxville, she was a Technology Teacher for grades K-5 at the Michael J. Buczek School (P.S. 48) in Manhattan and a computer lab Teaching Assistant for grades K-5 at the Murray Avenue School in Mamaroneck. She began her career as a Teacher Aide at the Heathcote School in Scarsdale, N.Y. Ms. Del Juidice has a B.A. in Elementary Education from Manhattan College, an M.S. Ed in Literacy from Lehman College, and an M.S.Ed in Instructional Technology & Curriculum Design from SUNY Albany.
Julie DeSimone, Elementary School Counselor, Rye City School District
Ms. DeSimone comes to Rye to fill a new position, that of elementary school counselor working at the three elementary schools. Previously, she was the School Counselor at Rockland County’s West Haverstraw Elementary School. Prior to working at West Haverstraw, she was a School Counselor leave replacement at the A. MacArthur Barr Middle School in Nanuet, N.Y. She also completed her school counselor internship in Nanuet. Ms. DeSimone has an A.A. in Elementary Education from Santa Fe College, a B.S. in Biology from the University of Florida, and an M.S. Ed. in School Counseling from Long Island University.
Caroline Robertson, Districtwide Registered Professional Nurse, Rye City School District
Ms. Robertson comes to the RCSD from Highland Hospital in Rochester, N.Y, where she worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical Float Pool and as a travel nurse. Previously, she worked as an R.N. in the Orthopedics Unit/Joint Replacement Center at Unity Hospital, also in Rochester. She has a B.S.N. from the School of Nursing at St. John Fisher College. She is a Licensed Registered Nurse in New York State.
Melissa Ross, Literacy Coach and K-2 Instructional Staff Developer, Rye City School District
Ms. Ross comes to the RCSD from the Teachers College Community School (P.S. 517M) at the New York City Department of Education, where she has been an Instructional Coach for pre-K through 8th grade teachers since 2018. Prior to becoming an instructional coach, she spent four years as the Head Teacher in a fourth grade Integrated Co-Taught Classroom and three years as Head Teacher in a third through fifthgrade special education classroom at the Lillie D. Blake School (P.S. 6M) on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Ms. Ross has a B.S. in Childhood Education from Skidmore College, an M.A. in Childhood Special Education from the Steinhardt School of Education at NYU, and a Master’s in School Administration and Supervision from the Graduate School of Education at Fordham University.
Henry Snyder, Districtwide Registered Professional Nurse, Rye City School District
Mr. Snyder comes to the RCSD from the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone Health in Manhattan, where he worked as a Senior Staff Nurse in the Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care Transport Team. Previously, he worked at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital/Westchester Medical Center as a Critical Care Nurse/Charge Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and in the Emergency Department/Trauma Unit, and as a General Staff Nurse/Charge Nurse in the Pediatric Medical Surgical/Specialty Department. Mr. Snyder has a B.S. in Nursing from Pace University’s Lienhard School of Nursing. He is a Registered Professional Nurse, a Certified Emergency Nurse, and a Critical Care Registered Nurse.
