pRYEde Secures Non-Profit Status

pRYEde, the local Rye advocates for equity and inclusion behind the Pride garden flags, the June Pride month celebrations, the Pride murals and the (now) annual City of Rye Pride flag raising, has been designated as a nonprofit with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.

In a statement, the group said the new status would allow it to seek grants and new fundraising opportunities, and that it will grow its mission to “advocate locally for equity and inclusion; celebrate the diversity of Rye and the greater community; engage in educational programming; and strengthen sense of belonging for all, especially for those who hold minoritized identities.”
