The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 is out. The meeting will be held in-person at Rye City Hall.

The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).

The Council will convene at 5:30pm for Executive Session to discuss pending litigation, personnel matters and pending contracts.

Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended.

  • Blowing Change. Adjourn until October 26, 2022 the public hearing to create a new local law, Chapter 122, “Landscapers and Leaf Blower Regulations”.

    Can You Hear Me Now? Authorization for City Manager to sign retainer agreement with Sive, Paget and Riesel to provide legal services in the matter of Verizon Wireless v. The City of Rye.

  • Open Mic. Residents may be heard on matters for Council consideration that do not appear on the agenda.

    Hello? Consideration to refer to the BAR an application from T-Mobile Northeast, LLC to modify an existing facility located at 66 Milton Rd that does not substantially change the physical dimensions of the current facility.

    • Thank You for Your Service. Consideration of a request by the American Legion Post 128 to conduct its usual Veterans’ Day observance on the Village Green on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. In case of rain, the American Legion Post 128 requests the use of City Hall on that date and time.
    • Trucks. Consideration of a request by the Rye Free Reading Room for the use of the Village Green, City Hall Parking and Haviland Lane lot to host the Annual Vehicle Fair Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    • Trucks with Food. Consideration of a request from the Rye Free Reading Room to have 3 food trucks on Haviland Lane for the Annual Vehicle Fair Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    • Books. Consideration of request from the Rye Free Reading Room to use the Village Green on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 2pm until Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11am for the Rye Children’s Book Festival to be held on September 23, 2023.
    • Books with Trucks with Food! Consideration of a request from the Rye Free Reading Room to have 4 food trucks at the Rye Children’s Book Festival on Haviland Lane by the Village Green on October 14, 2023 from 10am – 4pm.
  • Patronage. Appointments to Boards and Commissions by the Mayor with Council approval.

The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 6:30pm.
