Girls Varsity Field Hockey Bites the Huskies, Advances to Semis

Rye Girls Varsity Field Hockey bit the Harrison Huskies at Nugent Stadium on Tuesday, sledding to a 4-0 win. The win advances Rye to class B section 1 semi finals at home this Thursday at 6pm against Horace Greeley.

“Both teams showed up to play,” said Rye Girls Varsity Field Hockey  Coach Kelly Vegliante. “Harrison is a tough team and gets better and better every time we play them. Our passing game was on tonight which enabled us to get the ball down the field and get scoring opportunities. Our girls played hard and gave it their all and it payed off. I couldn’t ask for anything more from my players. It’s playoffs and every game is going to be tough.”
