Varsity XC Places in League Championship

The Rye Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country teams competed in the League Championship at Byram Hills High School on Wednesday.

The boys team ran well with a 4th place showing. The boys were led by Will Squarek, who was 2nd overall in a time of 17:49 for 5k.

The girls team, led by Jess Bourne, (All League Honors-8th place overall in 22:28) placed 3rd overall in the League behind Eastchester and Harrison. Aine Kennelly and Lily Oberbannscheidt also took home All League Honors, placing 9th and 10th in the League Championship.

The team record stands at 2-4.
