In Memory: Hope Anne Reeser, Age 75
Hope Anne Reeser, a resident of Rye for 75 years, passed away on April 25, 2023. Hope was born in Canandaigua, NY on January 10, 1948, and was the daughter of David and Natalie (nee Nutting) Feinson. She graduated from Rye High School, Class of 1966. Hope went on to Endicott Jr. College Class of 1970 and then graduated from Keuka College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education. Later she received her Master’s in elementary education at the College of New Rochelle.
Hope was a math teacher at Rye Country Day School for over 30 years. She was a member of Rye Presbyterian Church and sang in their choir for many years. Hope lived her whole life in Rye, NY. She was a lover of life, family, friends, animals, nature and all holidays. Hope was a “kid at heart”.
Hope is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Reeser, who passed away in November of 2009. They had been married for 15 years. She is survived by her brother John E. Feinson and his wife Elizabeth. She is the loving aunt to nieces: Erica Coulter (Jonathan) and Molly Ross (Thomas); nephews: David Feinson (Annette), Christopher Feinson (Krista); Grandnieces and Grandnephew: Maddie and Eliza Coulter, Olive and Autumn Feinson, and Oliver Ross. Best friends to Gina Langer de la Chesnaye, and home companion and friend, Resha. Her wonderful animal companion, Shep, was always at her side.
The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye, NY on Saturday, April 29 2023, from 4-7 p.m. A religious service will be held at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Hope’s memory to the ASPCA or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
