Rye Boys Varsity Golf stands with a 12-1 record going into their home match against Scarsdale on Tuesday at 4:15pm. The team showed strong performance last week, even after getting bucked off a tie breaker by the Bronxville Broncos to start things off.

The Garnets started last week on Monday against a strong Bronxville team. Standing at 9-0 entering the match, expectations were to keep the winning streak going at Siwanoy. Trent Bisceglia continued his good play with an impressive 37, followed by a strong 39 from sophomore Eddie Molloy. After a draw at 199 – 199 the tie breaker went to Bronxville, giving Rye their first loss of the year.

Tuesday’s match at Rye Golf Club against Mahopac was an impressive one with three golfers from Rye tying for medalist: Eddie Molloy, Charlie Weinman, and seventh grader Ryan Mascali all posting a 38. This one finished 198-240 pushing the Garnets to a 10-1 record.

In Rye’s third match of the week, they came up against Pehlam at Pehlam Country Club. A duo of low scores gave the Garnets their second win of the week. Eddie Molloy posted another impressive score with a 38 and Trent Bisceglia followed it up with a 39. Rye scored a 203 over Pelham’s 226.

To finish out the week the Garnets faced Bronxville once again. This time hosting at Rye Golf Club. Eddie Molloy ends his stellar week of play with an even-par 36 to secure the win for the team at 204 – 216 after an unfortunate loss earlier in the week.
