Boys Varsity Lacrosse Sends Byram Hills Up I-684 in OT

Rye Boys Varsity Lacrosse battled back from a two-goal deficit in the fourth quarter to sneak by Byram Hills 6–5 in the quarterfinals of the Section One playoffs.
“With 1:47 left in overtime, Tyler McDermott shot the game winning goal, scoring his 3rd of the day to secure the quarterfinal win,” Rye Head Coach Steve Lennon said.
Andrew Keller netted the game-tying goal with 7:09 left in the final quarter. Tanner Howson and Charlie Stevens also scored a goal during the home victory.
Rye improved to 10–7 on the season with the win. Watch the replay. The Garnets will play again on Thursday vs. Pearl River at home at 5:30pm (watch it).
