Girls Varsity Lacrosse Sends Pearl River Back Upstream

Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse opened up the 2023 Section One playoffs on Wednesday with a dominant home victory over Pearl River, defeating the Pirates 22–3. The Garnets improved to 13–4 on the season with the first round playoff win.

“Rye was firing on all cylinders offensively, with 12 players contributing offensive points,” said Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach Michelle Mason. “Lilly Whaling was a force on the draw, registering 16 draw controls on the day!”

Rye received contributions from virtually the entire roster on Wednesday afternoon:

“Our focus is one game at a time in the post season and we did just that today in our win over Pearl River,” Mason said.
