Girls Varsity Softball Makes a (pel)Ham Sandwich
Rye Girls Varsity Softball made a (pel)ham sandwich on Wednesday, putting Pelham between two slices of bread for the 7 – 0 away game win.
“In our final league game of the year, Penelope Gilmore pitched a complete game 3 hit shutout,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball Coach Alex Tejera. “She was also 3 for 4 with a 2B and 2R. Dylan Deertz was 3 for 4 2Rbi and Erin Ball was 2 for 4 with a 3B, R, Rbi, and a stolen base, to contribute to the win. Another great team effort and a great way to finish our league play. One more regular season game on Monday at Nanuet.”
