Vehicle Fair Fundraiser Creates Traffic on the Village Green

The Rye Free Reading Room hosted its annual Vehicle Fair fundraiser this Sunday. Families flocked to the Rye Village Green as over a dozen vehicles were displayed for children to climb and explore.
Vehicles included fire trucks, bulldozers and school buses, all provided by local sposnors and city departments. Among the vehicles were other activities such as temporary tattoos, face painting, inflatable bounce houses, a bubble machine, a raffle to win toys, and various food trucks. The local Rye Nature Center also provided its nature station, a mobile interactive classroom intended to deliver first-hand experiences with nature for children.
All profits made from the vehicle fair go to support the Rye Free Reading Room.
